Senior Social Media Insights Analyst

(Freelance/Remote)

EA1 is looking for a freelancer who is an expert in social media strategy insights and analytics. This role will require close partnership with internal leadership at EA1 and strong coordination with relevant executives and staff at our client companies. 

We're looking for someone with experience in managing social media campaigns directly with influencers for a national or global brand, preferably in media and entertainment. The ideal candidate is ambitious, enthusiastic, well-organized, confident and driven and has at least 7 years of experience in social media planning, strategy, execution, and management. They will have an understanding of industry best practices and the drive to develop new ones. They will have experience managing a team and communicating with clients. They will be proactive, quick on their feet, and a problem solver.

This position is freelance and remote.


Role & Responsibilities

  • An expert internet sleuth since that can efficiently study college and university student body sports culture, traditions + social presence, analyze social media performance - the "why" on what performs/doesn't perform well

  • Lead research from start to finish with minimal oversight

  • Synthesize information and data to help us lead creative brainstorms for additional  school reports

  • Be able to contribute creative ideas (ideally someone not only poised in analytics but can think critically about and inform editorial)

Requirements

  • 7+ years of social media data experience in-house or at an agency

  • Fluency in social listening tools (e.g. Conviva and ListenFirst)

  • Knowledge or specialization in college sports

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to deal with diverse personalities internally and externally and move a project forward

  • Experience in creating and publishing content across major social media platforms

  • Experience working collaboratively with social, communications, and marketing teams

  • Experience coordinating or covering events in real-time for social media

  • Experience in using social media analytics to garner insights

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and to remain calm under pressure

  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems independently

  • Ability to absorb, apply, and communicate best practices for major social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Tumblr, Snapchat)

  • Ability to develop and demonstrate brand voice and tone in written editorial and visual content

  • Proven ability to grow a meaningful following on major social media platforms

  • Excellent writing and presentation skills

  • High-level experience with current digital content creation tools and collaborative workflow apps (Adobe CS, video editing, Google Docs, MS Office, Slack, digital cameras)
