Social Media Brand Manager
(Freelance + Remote)

Project Overview:
We’re looking to expand our roster of freelancers and seek a freelance Social Media Brand Manager to support the team in driving and executing social media strategies for our entertainment clients. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you’ll focus on creating engaging content and building meaningful interactions with fan communities, helping EA1 deliver impactful social media campaigns for our clients in entertainment.
This position is ideal for someone with 3+ years of social media experience and a passion for content and fan communities, who’s eager to develop their skills in a strategic role with mentorship from senior team members. You’ll work directly with an EA1 project lead and creative lead, as well as multiple client stakeholders. You’ll be expected to communicate directly with the client, publish with client approval, participate in brainstorm sessions, and create copy for campaign needs (ex. social posts, community management replies, etc)
About the Client:
Our client is a global specialty film and television company that develops, produces, finances and acquires motion pictures and series for both worldwide theatrical and streaming releases. It has its own marketing and distribution operations, and several ongoing projects during Q4 2025. We work directly with the client’s marketing team to activate and sustain their latest social media campaigns, as well as develop lasting relationships with their audiences. All work is subject to confidentiality and content embargo requirements; NDA signing required prior to project start.
Responsibilities:
Platform Management & Implementation:
Maintain, optimize and publish on social media profiles on Instagram, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, YouTube, and Threads, applying platform-specific best practices.
Manage campaign execution, including timelines, deliverables, asset management, content calendar and publishing, and client communication.
Stay up-to-date on algorithm changes and trends to ensure innovative and effective campaigns.
Contribute to insights reports around tentpole activations and events.
Content & Community:
Actively engage with fan communities, including daily amplification, community management opportunities, moderating conversations and responding to comments in a way that builds positive sentiment.
Ideate and develop high-quality, engaging content in collaboration with the Creative Lead, including video, graphics, and gifs.
Write editorial copy aligned with brand voice to drive engagement and resonance.
Contribute to concept development and trend response strategy.
Propose new content formats.
Event and Real-Time Coverage
Support live coverage during premieres, activations, and other key events to drive immediate engagement.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and timely responses during live moments.
Provide evening, weekend, or late-night coverage as needed for events or high-priority campaigns (ex. Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, specific dates within the campaign window)
Qualifications:
Proven Experience: 3+ years of social media experience, preferably in the entertainment industry, with a track record of managing day-to-day social media operations and audience engagement.
Audience Relations: Experience with community management and direct audience interaction.
Campaign Execution: Skilled at content creation and social copywriting that aligns with brand voice and objectives.
Client Acumen: Demonstrated experience in client management and communications
Strategic Acumen: Strong understanding of social media best practices, platform-specific trends, and audience engagement techniques.
Research Acumen: Familiarity with interpreting insights and analytics to optimize content and campaigns.
Industry Knowledge: Experience with mission-driven organizations or social-first brands is a significant plus.
Communication Skills: Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
Self-Motivated: The ability to work independently, manage a project timeline, and deliver high-quality work on a tight schedule.
Remote + LA-Based: Able to work remotely while located within the greater LA area; available for in-person client meetings and events as needed.
Adaptable: Flexibility to provide weekend, late-night, and live event coverage as needed.

Duration: 2 Month Contract (Late November - early January), potential for future projects
Location: Remote/Flexible
Compensation: Competitive, project-based fees
